Fantasy Baseball tip(s) of the day/week Calculating hitters $dollar values using the Burgess Fantasy Baseball formula. (Runs+RBI)/10 = subtract 6 from this total + (HR+SB)/3 = .270 = 0 add $1 for every .010 above .270 and subtract $1 for every .005 below .270 Example projected .300 hitter, 100 runs, 100 RBI, 30 HR, and 30 SB. (100Runs+100RBI) = 200/10 = 20-6=$14 +(30HR+30SB) =60/3=$20 .300 is .030 above .270 so add an additional $3 $14+$20+$3 =$37 In Fantasy Baseball keeper leagues always keep an eye toward next season especially if your team is really struggling during the current baseball season. A young, future fantasy stud that might not be that great this season, could easily pay off for your team for the following years to come. If your team is going no where this year then look to trade aging veterans for young prospects with lots of upside. |
